We’re Proud to Introduce KERAKOLL at JMV

What is KERAKOLL?

KERAKOLL is the GreenBuilding company that specializes in developing pioneering solutions that focus on the environment and improving health and quality of life. By using eco-friendly and naturally breathable building materials this brand avoids the most common ailments caused by indoor pollution.

The importance of Sustainability

KERAKOLL is about creating value over time by being environmentally friendly. Back in the year 2000, Kerakoll embarked on the GreenBuilding rating system, which was created to give the construction industry a new benchmark for the design and construction of eco-friendly buildings. This set the bar higher, giving a standard to measure the environmental performance and sustainability of building materials.

In 2016, JMV and KERAKOLL embarked on a collaboration in order to provide solutions and support for the local construction industry. Following formative training and continued support from KERAKOLL, we are proud to announce that the following solutions are available at JMV Building Solutions:

BIOLAB is a high performance and structural tile adhesive gels. BIOLAB NO LIMITS and BIOLAB EXTREME are the new generation of multi-purpose adhesive gels for bonding all material types and formats to all substrates, that can weather extreme conditions. Applicable for large format gres tiles, marble cladding and much more.

BIOCALCE natural hydraulic lime products are ideal for historical restoration works, re-structuring and embellishment. They are widely used in pointing masonry facades, creation of macroporous plaster systems, and structural interventions on old buildings.

NANOFLEX is a high performance, water based ECO-membrane. It is a single component, liquid applied and very-low VOC emissions product. Available with all off-the-shelf ancillary products for complete waterproofing. Moreover, it is easy and safe to apply.

STRUCTURAL strengthening systems for concrete structures and masonry use a combination of high strength cements and natural hydraulic lime binders in conjunction with galvanized structural steel meshes to provide composite action. These are valuable tools for the engineer and builder alike, when repairing damaged constructions or designing for alterations.

Apart from being highly versatile and easy to apply, such materials are classified as having a very low emission – hence, they are safe for both the applicator and end-user. Installation can be therefore projected without compromising or stalling the use of the building.

On the 17th May, JMV and KERAKOLL shall be holding a technical conference about the above-mentioned solutions.

The conference is aimed at professionals making use of such products such as Architects and Engineers. It shall treat the subject of “Environmentally Sustainable Structural Engineering”, and touch base on topics that include but are not limited to:

  • FRP and FRCM systems: State of the art and recent development
  • FRP and FRCM Guidelines and Acceptance criteria
  • Materials, Systems and University Tests for Strengthening, Retrofitting and Seismic upgrade of:

  • Masonry Structures,
  • Reinforced and Prestressed Concrete Structures
  • Design tools: GeoForce One Software and Technical Manual
